Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen… yourself, right now, right down here on Earth. Bradley Whitford
This week has been crazy.
Living in a country with electricity shortages means we do load-shedding. Although we have schedules our utility company doesn’t stick to them so we never know when the power is going off. Being a small business this plays havoc! Today I bought my laptop a new battery and filled my USB dongle with airtime so that at least I can carry on receiving emails and keeping track of my business when the power is off. Unscheduled expense = ??????
I heard a talk on the radio yesterday by an unforgettable man by the name of JT Foxx. What a man. What an interview. Here is a link to his website: http://www.entrepreneur.co.za/author/jt-foxx/
JT said 2 things on air that will remain with me forever and I am summarising them for you here. These are my words and not JT’s exact words.
JT said that what stops people achieving success is their Limiting Beliefs. Limiting beliefs are the things we say like: “If only …”; “I can’t …. ; “But ….” Limiting Beliefs are the excuses we feed ourselves to cheat ourselves out of success.
The other thing he said is that if we don’t take action we won’t get results.
This made me think and I would like to pass on this information to you. Do you have Limiting Beliefs holding you back? Do you take the necessary action to achieve the results you want?
Here is how I put some of what I heard into practise today: I bought myself a laptop battery and filled my USB dongle with airtime so that when our electricity goes off (as it does daily sometimes for hours at a time) I can carry on sending and receiving emails and doing the work I need to do. This means I can’t use the words “no electricity” as a reason for my business not growing. The other thing I did was apply to an advert in our local newspaper under the auspices of my business “Katlyn Virtual Assistants” and have been invited to give a talk on what the Virtual industry entails and what it means to be a “Virtual Assistant”.
Imagine spending 2 days at one of JT Foxx’s seminars if one hour on the radio made such an impression on me. If he ever comes to your neck of the woods, please attend the seminar and let me know what it was like. I will do the same for you.
Have a great week! Let’s Make It Happen!
See you on line,
