Year 2 – Week 29 – Patience, Persistence and Perspiration

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
John Quincy Adams

Good morning Readers and Welcome.

In year 1 week 43 I wrote about Patience.  I would like to continue that blog post this week.

As you all know (yawn) I am living inbetween boxes and builders.  I recently joined a Facebook Group called “Reach Your Goals” and last week took a leave of absence due to personal circumstances.  At the beginning of each week I would set goals only to have none of them realised by the end of the week.  I was really down and gloomy and in a bad “space”.

This week a wonderful thing happened.  I have had a client for nearly 3 years and do regular typing for this client.  During a recent site visit we had a meeting and my client has allotted me a huge chunk of ongoing work as she is too busy to do it herself.  I have had patience for nearly 3 years and it has paid off.

We often plan our time and our weeks and things don’t go as we expect them to.  This does not necessarily mean that the week is a total train wreck – all it means is that sometimes things don’t work out as we want them to.  Our “wants” are not always what we “need”.  What I really needed was more working hours to bill at the end of the month.   This has been achieved in a way that I didn’t plan for.

It is not easy to be patient.  Human beings are not usually patient creatures.  I can tell you from personal experience that patience, persistence and perspiration pays off.

Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.
Napoleon Hill

See you on line,
