Year 2 – Week 24 – Lose my mojo? No, never!

Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.

Saint Francis de Sales

I failed this test miserably this morning.  What happened was that I made an appointment a week ago to introduce my business to someone.  I confirmed the appointment by sms.  I was dressed, made up, presentation pack ready when the phone rang 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment time.   “Sorry, but we can’t see you today as we have another appointment”.  I lost it.  I lost my mojo.

About an hour later an email came through explaining that I was muddled up with someone else but the someone else and I are the same person.  It was agreed that the appointment be rescheduled.

I spent one hour in a major freak out zone ALL FOR NOTHING.  If it had helped it would have been worth it, but it did not.  I still have an appointment.  It would have been pleasant to keep my sanity.

This blog is short and sweet.  We never know why things happen but we need to accept and move on (quietly and calmly)!

Emma Thompson hits the nail on the head with this quote which can be applied to our businesses as well:

Any problem, big or small, within a family, always seems to start with bad communication. Someone isn’t listening.

Emma Thompson

Part of the problem I experienced today had to do with bad communication which I will touch on next time.

See you on line,
