Good morning Readers and Welcome to this week’s blog post.
“We often miss opportunity because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like work” ― Thomas Edison
Opportunities often show up in the most unexpected places. One never knows where the next client is going to appear. Sometimes it is a friend that you are meeting for coffee and haven’t seen for years and possibly the person you literally bumped into while walking in the street could be your next client. Sometimes I don’t have my business cards with me and someone asks for my card. I think you will agree that is not a good first impression! Note to self: Carry your business cards with you at all times.
I found the link below on Facebook and maybe you have seen it. I don’t know the whole story behind the video but I think it would go something like this:
A young man has always had an ambition to make music his career. He has an 8-5 “job” and is on his way to catch the train to work because the friend who gives him a lift is sick. On his way to the train in a busy station he spots a piano that says: “Play me I’m Yours”. He thinks to himself: “Is this a hoax?”, but can’t walk past so sits down, misses his train in the process and plays the piano. It’s rush hour. This young man doesn’t care about who’s watching and who isn’t. He just has a total compulsion to play the piano. Little does he realise that someone is recording him, puts it on YouTube and just like that, he’s making a name for himself.
Possibly this young man planned the whole thing, but I would like to think he did not.
If you do know the story, please let me know!! Here is the link:
