Year 2 – Week 15 – Time never stands still

Good morning/afternoon/evening Readers and Welcome!   Did you know we are a third of the way through the year already? I don’t know about you but time is flying past! How can we slow it down?

As we all know, it is impossible to slow time down but we can slow ourselves down! Don’t you think it’s time to stop for a few minutes and re-group?

I’ve been asking some questions of myself and possibly you have similar questions:

  • “Am I meeting my targets for the year that were set in January?”
  • “Are my clients satisfied?”
  • “Are the rates I charge adequate and in line with the rest of my competition?”
  • “Am I having fun?” If not, there is something seriously wrong with what I am doing.

Slowing ourselves down is important; if we don’t it can lead to burn out and if you have never had burn out before, believe me, you don’t want to go down that road. You don’t only get burn out from work you hate but also from something you love doing but are doing excessively. When I pop in and out of some of my groups I am horrified to find V.A.’s working a 14-16 hour day every day including working on weekends. It is fine to work hours like this if a deadline needs to be met but not as a norm. Slow yourselves down! Pace yourselves, take time out to spend with a loved one, go for a walk, read a book; in fact do anything that will give yourself a chance to be …. just be ….. It is so important!

Time never stands still and every second we don’t enjoy is a second wasted!

“How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?” ― Dr. Seuss

See you on line,
