“You don’t need to build yourself a rocket ship; you only need to fly a helicopter at this stage! The world still needs helicopters.” (Kathy van der Velde)
Those words were said to me by a good friend this week and I think they are SO profound. I’ve been going through that awful phase that we as VA’s are so familiar with: “Do I know enough?”
You will be surprised by how much you know when you sit down to think about it. Research becomes automatic when we are VA’s; we don’t even know we are doing it and we don’t realise how much information we absorb during the course of one day. So many VA’s are writing E-books and promoting their services via webinars and videos. They had to start somewhere – they weren’t boffins all in one day let alone one year!
So I put it to you straight – are you proud of flying your helicopter? I know I am! But I love flying so much, maybe one day I’ll go to the moon after all one way or another!!
“If you were born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing.”
― Coco Chanel
See you on line,
PS Note to self: Start thinking about writing an E-book
