Week 30 – Doing what is Required

Good morning Readers and welcome!

Shower, dress, make-up and off to the corner in the lounge – same old, same old, same old – no, WRONG!  This week has been really exciting!

I have just finished working with my marketing mentor (Francis van Wyk of Create Client Chemistry) after five months and decided to look at what I had been taught and how I could implement things that have been put onto the back burner.  As you all know by now I HATE(d) marketing!    Let’s face facts:  marketing is the life-blood of ANY business and without clients or customers we would be joining the ranks of the unemployed.

About a month ago a friend bought me a whiteboard calendar and I have turned that into a marketing calendar.  It gathered dust for a while but I can’t tell you how much help it has been to me this week.  Instead of being like a hamster on a treadmill trying to fit everything into one day, going round in circles and achieving nothing, my marketing schedule is all beautifully spread out over a week and certain things get done on certain days.  And what’s more the program that Francis helped me put into place is working.    I have had a few enquiries this week for work to be done and that is progress – right?

“It’s not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what’s required.”
Sir Winston Churchill

I guess Sir Winston Churchill hit the nail on the head by saying that we sometimes have to do what’s required.  Applying this to our business or any business for that matter has to make a difference.  Marketing is required for success so we WILL market wisely and effectively!

Here’s to success ….. and doing what’s required!!

See you on line,
