Good morning Readers and welcome!
Well, this has been quite a good week. I finally had that operation on Wednesday that I mentioned in Week 27. So glad that it’s out of the way and life can go back to normal. I found out a couple of things in hospital that I would like to share with you because I think they’re relevant to our VA businesses.
The thing I had been dreading for so long, was not that bad at all. That is quite a lesson in itself! How many times don’t we put tasks to one side that we HATE doing? When we finally get around to them we find out “it wasn’t that bad”!
Nothing beats a smile! Quite frankly, a smile is worth a thousand words. (I can’t trace the author to that beautiful quote, but thank you to them)! Lying in my hospital bed waiting to go into theatre was quite fun actually. Everyone that came passed from the anaesthetists to the porters smiled at me and some stopped to give some encouragement. It was the smiles that made me feel comfortable and warm and mushy inside. Those smiles were as good as any pre-med injection could have been. I will never again keep a smile back from someone. We can even smile “virtually”. I know when someone is posting a comment that they were laughing when they posted it – have you ever thought about that?
Well, those were the two lessons that I learned during my hospital expedition. This blog post is a bit weird I’ll grant you that, but it’s all about honesty and this is where I am at right now – working with a smile!
“Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.”
― Mother Teresa
See you on line,
P.S. The next blog post will not be on Monday the 17th of June but on Tuesday the 18th. We have a public holiday on the Monday and I am going out of town with no connectivity. See you next Tuesday!
