Week 22 – Coping with disappointment

Good morning Readers and welcome!

I have been looking at the previous blog post topics and they are all quite positive and inspirational.  Well not today I’m afraid.  Today we are coping with disappointment.

Last week was a total high – marketing challenges were met with great gusto.  This week …. what happened?   Still trying to figure it out.   Various appointments that I was so looking forward to were cancelled with no notice after confirming not once but twice.  A prospective client that was so excited about having some help disappeared into the woodwork;  another prospective client is hovering …  I mean really!  Is it back to Egypt and the salt mines?  Perish the thought!

How does one cope with disappointment?  Well in a moment of stillness and silent contemplation the answer is that we just keep moving on towards our goal(s).  The blog post about the snail and the cherry tree (Week 20) is a bit of “well eat those words”!  Newsflash – I won’t let disappointment get me down.

“You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It wont happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.”
