Week 20 – Live your Dream

Good morning Readers and welcome!

We are all blessed with natural talents and abilities.  What is easy for some people is not easy for others.  (Yes, obvious, but please bear with me)!  When we take the plunge to start our own solopreneur venture (in this case Virtual Assistants) as we know we face challenges from time to time.  What some people find easy such as marketing, others struggle with.  Some VA’s are technically brilliant and others are quite challenged in this area of expertise.  I can go on and on but will stop right here because you get the point!  We’ve been told so many times that we need to be consistent in our efforts and we will reap the rewards.   I was told a lovely story in a training seminar that I would like to share with you to illustrate this point.

A snail was climbing up a cherry tree in the middle of winter.  Everything was frozen solid.  The birds were laughing at him and asked him what he was doing climbing up a frozen cherry tree.  The snail replied that he was going to eat cherries.   The birds couldn’t believe his stupidity and asked him again:  “Why are you climbing up a frozen cherry tree in the middle of winter?  There are no cherries”.  The snail determinedly said:  “By the time I get to the top there will be”!

So for the snails in the VA industry, for those solopreneurs who struggle with challenges such as marketing, even the snail got to the top of the cherry tree.

Go for it … live your dream!  I am!!

Lynne, what a great story, and so true especially for those of us who are still working full time for someone else. Have a great day! Marie Gray – Gray’s Virtual Office
