Week 11 – Self-Belief

Good morning Readers

Last week I told you I would let you know whether or not I believed in myself – the answer is YES I DO.

So many people have written about Self-Belief and the material “out there” is BRILLIANT. It is important to grab hold of as much motivational material you can possibly find and devour it. All I know from personal experience is that if one doesn’t believe in oneself then who else will? We can’t expect our clients to pay for our services if we do not believe that the service we are offering is worth something!!

My experience is that during formal employment one is always looking for some kind of praise or confirmation that the job we are doing is valued. Working for oneself involves regular pats on the back (for me it is on the hour every hour) but I need long arms!! No one said it would be easy but small little victories become stepping stones to building up the business and each little victory is celebrated. By small I mean small …. here is an example …. I break into a cold sweat each time I speak to a stranger about the business and this week I managed to walk into an office and present them with my business card and an elevator speech. What a SMALL victory but what a BREAKTHROUGH!

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.”
Norman Vincent Peale, author

‘Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”
Gail Devers

See you on line,
